Topic
Insects are pancrustacean hexapod invertebrates of the class Insecta, representing the largest and most diverse group within the arthropod phylum. They are characterized by a chitinous exoskeleton, a three-part body consisting of a head, thorax, and abdomen, three pairs of jointed legs, compound eyes, and one pair of antennae. With over one million described species, insects account for more than half of all known living organisms on Earth.
