Volcano is a 1997 American disaster film that tells the story of an emergency management director and a seismologist attempting to divert a dangerous lava flow through the streets of Los Angeles. The crisis begins after an active volcano unexpectedly forms at the La Brea Tar Pits, threatening the entire city.
