The Saturn V was a retired American super heavy-lift, three-stage, liquid-fueled launch vehicle developed by NASA for the Apollo program’s human exploration of the Moon. Thirteen Saturn V rockets were launched between 1967 and 1973, carrying astronauts on Apollo lunar missions and launching Skylab.
