Q
Qubits
Topic
A qubit, or quantum bit, is the basic unit of quantum information, representing the quantum counterpart to the classical binary bit. Unlike a classical bit which can only exist in a state of 0 or 1, a qubit can exist in a state of quantum superposition, allowing it to represent both states simultaneously. Qubits are physically realized using two-state quantum-mechanical systems, such as the spin of an electron or the polarization of a single photon.
