Micro-fulfillment center
Topic
A micro-fulfillment center (MFC) is a small-scale, highly automated storage and order-processing facility located close to the end consumer, typically in urban or suburban areas. By placing retail inventory in closer proximity to customers, MFCs enable rapid last-mile delivery and efficient fulfillment of e-commerce and grocery orders. These facilities often utilize advanced robotics and automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) to maximize space and speed up processing times.
