The Gutenberg Bible, also known as the 42-line Bible or Mazarin Bible, is an edition of the Latin Vulgate printed in Mainz in the 1450s. It was the earliest major European book produced using mass-produced metal movable type and helped inaugurate the age of printed books in the West.
