Florida Everglades
Place
The Everglades is a vast natural region of tropical wetlands and flooded grasslands located in the southern portion of Florida. Often referred to as the 'River of Grass,' this unique ecosystem is fed by a slow-moving, shallow sheet of water flowing southward from Lake Okeechobee to Florida Bay. It is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including the American alligator, Florida panther, and numerous bird species.
