Wyoming is a landlocked state in the Mountain West subregion of the Western United States, bordered by Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, and Idaho. It is the least populous U.S. state despite being the tenth-largest by area, characterized by its vast plains and the rugged Rocky Mountains.
