The White Sands footprints are a set of ancient human fossil tracks discovered in 2009 at White Sands National Park in New Mexico, United States. Radiocarbon dating of seeds found in the sediment layers suggests the footprints are between 21,000 and 23,000 years old. If these dates are correct, they represent some of the oldest definitive evidence of human presence in the Americas, challenging previous archaeological timelines.
