Wainua (eplontersen) is a prescription medication used for the treatment of polyneuropathy caused by hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis (hATTR) in adults. Developed by Ionis Pharmaceuticals and AstraZeneca, it is a transthyretin-directed antisense oligonucleotide designed to reduce the production of mutant and wild-type TTR protein.
