Tumor growth
Topic
Tumor growth, biologically referred to as neoplasia, is the abnormal and excessive proliferation of tissue that forms an uncoordinated mass known as a neoplasm or tumor. This growth persists independently of the surrounding normal tissue and continues even after the initial triggering stimulus is removed. It can be classified as either benign or malignant, with the latter having the potential to invade other tissues and metastasize.
