The Travis Walton incident is an alleged alien abduction of American forestry worker Travis Walton on November 5, 1975, in the Apache–Sitgreaves National Forests near Heber, Arizona. Walton disappeared for over five days, claiming to have been taken aboard a flying saucer, which became one of the most famous and widely publicized UFO abduction claims in history. The event inspired Walton's 1978 book, The Walton Experience, and the 1993 film adaptation, Fire in the Sky.
