Thymic cells

Topic

Thymic cells, primarily known as thymocytes, are hematopoietic progenitor cells present in the thymus that undergo maturation and selection to become functional T cells. Originating as stem cells in the bone marrow, they migrate to the thymus via the bloodstream, where they interact with thymic epithelial cells to develop self-tolerance and immunological competence.
