The Combine is a fictional multidimensional alien empire and the primary antagonistic force in Valve’s Half-Life 2 and subsequent episodes, including Half-Life: Alyx. It comprises organic, synthetic, and heavily mechanized elements and governs conquered worlds through military and authoritarian control.
