Aktion T4, commonly called the T4 program, was a secret Nazi German involuntary “euthanasia” program targeting people with disabilities and mental illnesses. Operating primarily from 1939 to 1941, it organized the systematic murder of tens of thousands of institutionalized patients and helped develop methods later used in the Holocaust.
