Stock Connect is a pioneering mutual market access program that establishes a cross-boundary investment channel between mainland China and international markets. Launched in 2014, it allows international and mainland investors to trade eligible shares in each other's markets through their local brokers and clearing houses, connecting the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges.
