Steven Pinker is a Canadian-born American cognitive psychologist, psycholinguist, author, and public intellectual who is the Johnstone Family Professor of Psychology at Harvard University. His research includes visual cognition, psycholinguistics, social relations, and the computational theory of mind, and he is known for books on language, human nature, and progress.
