Steve Young is a former professional American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 seasons, primarily with the San Francisco 49ers. A Pro Football Hall of Famer, he is a three-time Super Bowl champion and was named the NFL Most Valuable Player twice. Following his athletic career, he has worked as a sports analyst, business executive, and co-founded the private equity firm HGGC.
