Spravato is a prescription esketamine nasal spray used under healthcare-professional supervision to treat adults with treatment-resistant depression, and in combination with an oral antidepressant for depressive symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder accompanied by acute suicidal ideation or behavior. It is administered in certified treatment settings with monitoring because of risks including sedation, dissociation, abuse, and misuse.
