SPDRs are a family of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) offered by State Street Investment Management. They provide investors with exchange-traded access to diversified portfolios tracking market indexes, sectors, commodities, bonds, and other asset classes; the best-known fund is SPY, which tracks the S&P 500 Index.
