Self-perception theory
Topic
Self-perception theory is a psychological framework developed by Daryl Bem which asserts that individuals develop their attitudes by observing their own behavior and concluding what attitudes must have caused it. This theory challenges the conventional view that attitudes inherently drive behaviors, suggesting instead that people act as external observers of themselves when internal cues are weak or ambiguous.
