Schwarzschild radius

Topic

The Schwarzschild radius is a physical parameter in Einstein's theory of general relativity that defines the radius of the event horizon for a non-rotating, spherically symmetric black hole of a given mass. Any object compressed below this critical radius will undergo gravitational collapse to form a black hole. It was named after the German physicist and astronomer Karl Schwarzschild, who calculated the exact solution in 1915.
