Sacsayhuamán is an ancient Inca citadel located on the northern outskirts of Cusco, Peru, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. Situated at an altitude of 3,701 meters, the site is renowned for its massive, dry-stone walls constructed from carefully cut boulders that fit together tightly without mortar. It represents one of the most impressive examples of monumental Inca architecture and engineering.
