Richard L. Gelfond is an American business executive and the chief executive officer of IMAX Corporation. He joined IMAX in 1994 and has led the company as its chief executive, becoming its sole CEO in 2009. He previously worked as an investment banker in mergers and acquisitions at Drexel Burnham Lambert.
