Regeneration is a 1997 British anti-war film directed by Gillies MacKinnon and adapted by Allan Scott from Pat Barker’s 1991 novel. Set during World War I, it follows officers receiving treatment for psychological trauma at Craiglockhart War Hospital, including poet Siegfried Sassoon. The film was released in the United States as Behind the Lines in 1998.
