Reality distortion field

Topic

The reality distortion field (RDF) is a term coined by Bud Tribble at Apple Computer in 1981 to describe co-founder Steve Jobs's powerful charisma and its effect on developers. It refers to Jobs's ability to convince himself and others to believe almost anything, using a mix of charm, bravado, hyperbole, and persistence to make seemingly impossible goals appear achievable. The term was originally inspired by an episode of the classic science fiction television series Star Trek.
