Prostate cancer is the uncontrolled growth of cells in the prostate, a gland in the male reproductive system below the bladder. It is typically detected through screening tests, such as blood tests that measure prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels. While many prostate cancers grow slowly and remain confined to the gland, some aggressive forms can spread rapidly to other parts of the body.
