A post-money economy is a theoretical or hypothetical economic system in which money, currency, and traditional monetary exchange are obsolete or entirely abolished. Often associated with post-scarcity societies, technological abundance, or certain socialist and anarchist theories, resource allocation in such a system relies on alternative mechanisms like calculation in kind, gift economies, or direct public distribution.
