Pirahã (also spelled Pirahá or Pirahán), or Múra-Pirahã, is the indigenous language of the Pirahã people of Amazonas, Brazil, who live along the Maici River. It is the only surviving dialect of the Mura language family. The language is famous among linguists for its unique typographic and grammatical features, including a lack of numbers, color terms, and grammatical recursion.
