The Phaeacians are a legendary, seafaring people in Greek mythology who inhabited the region of Scheria (also known as Phaeacia). First described in Homer's Odyssey, they are famous for their exceptional maritime skills, hospitality, and utopian society, ultimately assisting Odysseus in his return to Ithaca.
