Topic
The pelvic floor, or pelvic diaphragm, is a complex musculofascial structure composed of skeletal and smooth muscles, ligaments, and fascia that spans the area underneath the pelvis. It plays a critical role in supporting pelvic organs, maintaining urinary and fecal continence, and facilitating sexual function.
