OSK genes refers to a specific subset of the Yamanaka factors consisting of the three pioneer transcription factors Oct4, Sox2, and Klf4. Ectopic expression or delivery of these genes is widely researched in regenerative medicine and anti-aging therapies for its ability to drive partial cellular reprogramming, reversing epigenetic aging and restoring youthful cellular function without inducing full pluripotency or oncogenic transformation.
