The International Space Station (ISS) is a permanently crewed space station in low Earth orbit and the largest human-made spacecraft ever constructed. It is operated through an international partnership among NASA, Roscosmos, the European Space Agency (ESA), JAXA, and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), serving as an orbital laboratory for scientific research, technology demonstrations, and international cooperation.
