Operational security

Topic

Operational security (OPSEC) is a systematic process that identifies critical information to determine whether friendly actions can be observed by adversary intelligence. It assesses whether obtained information could be useful to competitors or enemies, and executes measures to eliminate or reduce the exploitation of that critical data. Originally developed as a military methodology, it is now widely applied across corporate, cybersecurity, and personal privacy domains.
