The National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP), commonly known as the Nazi Party, was a far-right political party in Germany active between 1920 and 1945. Led by Adolf Hitler from 1921, the party created and supported the totalitarian ideology of Nazism, establishing a dictatorship over Germany from 1933 until its defeat and dissolution at the end of World War II.
