Nathaniel Bacon

Nathaniel Bacon (1647–1676) was an English-born Virginia colonist and planter who led Bacon’s Rebellion against Governor William Berkeley in 1676. His forces attacked Indigenous communities and burned Jamestown before the rebellion collapsed after his death.
