The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is a NASA infrared space telescope designed to address essential questions in the areas of dark energy, exoplanets, and infrared astrophysics. Named after NASA's first chief of astronomy, Nancy Grace Roman, it was launched toward a Sun–Earth L2 orbit in August 2026.
