Muslim conquests
Topic
The early Muslim conquests, also known as the Arab conquests, were a series of military campaigns initiated by the Islamic prophet Muhammad and continued by his successors under the Rashidun and Umayyad Caliphates. These conquests led to the rapid expansion of Islamic rule across the Middle East, North Africa, parts of Southern Europe, and Central and South Asia, dismantling the Sasanian Empire and severely weakening the Byzantine Empire.
