Malaria is a mosquito-borne infectious disease transmitted to humans and other animals through the bite of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. It is caused by single-celled microorganisms of the Plasmodium group, typically presenting with symptoms such as fever, fatigue, vomiting, and headaches. If left untreated, severe cases can lead to jaundice, seizures, coma, or death.
