Mahabharata
Work
by Vyasa
The Mahabharata is one of the two major ancient Sanskrit epics of India, traditionally attributed to the sage Vyasa. It narrates the struggle and conflict between two groups of cousins, the Kauravas and the Pandavas, culminating in the monumental Kurukshetra War. Beyond its central narrative, the epic contains extensive philosophical and devotional material, including the Bhagavad Gita.
