The koala is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia and the only living representative of the family Phascolarctidae. Easily recognizable by its stout, tailless body, large head, and round, fluffy ears, it primarily inhabits eucalyptus woodlands and feeds on their leaves.
