Ketoconazole, sold under the brand name Nizoral among others, is an antifungal, antiandrogen, and antiglucocorticoid medication. It is primarily applied topically to treat fungal skin infections such as tinea, dandruff, and seborrheic dermatitis, but can also be taken orally for severe systemic infections when other treatments are unavailable.
