Kensington is a neighborhood in the River Wards section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Historically a working-class industrial hub, the area experienced significant deindustrialization and economic decline in the late 20th century. In recent years, while some parts of the neighborhood have faced challenges with disinvestment, other sections have undergone notable gentrification and redevelopment.
