John Forbes Nash Jr., commonly known as John Nash, was an American mathematician whose work made fundamental contributions to game theory, real algebraic geometry, differential geometry, and partial differential equations. He shared the 1994 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences and received the 2015 Abel Prize for his contributions to partial differential equations.
