John A. Dani is the David J. Mahoney Professor of Neurological Sciences and Chair of the Department of Neuroscience at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on the neurobiology of addiction and the mechanisms of synaptic plasticity, particularly how nicotine and cocaine influence brain function.
