Jet skiing is a recreational water sport and activity involving the operation of a personal watercraft (PWC), commonly referred to as a jet ski. Unlike traditional boats, riders sit or stand on top of the craft rather than inside it, navigating open waters at high speeds. The term "Jet Ski" originally referred to a specific brand of personal watercraft manufactured by Kawasaki, but has since become a genericized trademark for the sport and vehicles themselves.
