Intelligence quotient

Topic

An intelligence quotient (IQ) is a total score derived from a set of standardized tests or subtests designed to assess human intelligence. Historically, it was calculated as the ratio of a person's mental age to their chronological age, multiplied by 100. Modern IQ tests instead transform raw scores into a normal distribution with a median score of 100 and a standard deviation of 15.
