Immunological memory
Topic
Immunological memory is the ability of the immune system to quickly and specifically recognize an antigen that the body has previously encountered and initiate a corresponding immune response. This process is driven by the adaptive immune system, which generates antigen-specific receptors and specialized memory cells to provide long-term protection against reinfection.
