Hyperthermia
Topic
Hyperthermia, also known as overheating, is a condition in which an individual's body temperature is elevated beyond normal due to failed thermoregulation. It occurs when the body produces or absorbs more heat than it can dissipate, and severe cases exceeding 40 °C (104 °F) constitute a medical emergency. Unlike fever, hyperthermia is not caused by a change in the body's temperature set point.
