Hotel Rwanda is a biographical historical drama film that depicts hotelier Paul Rusesabagina's efforts to save the lives of his family and more than 1,000 refugees during the 1994 Rwandan genocide. Operating the Hôtel des Mille Collines, he provides shelter and protection to those fleeing the violence.
